About the Item

Edwardian Period, sterling silver, round picture frame, having a wood back and a bow finial, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1914, Charles S. Green and Company - makers. Measures over 5 1/2 inches diameter x 6 1/4 inches high (to top of bow finial) x 4 inches deep when easel is in open position. The frame will hold a photo that is 4 1/4 inches in diameter, and shows approximately 4 inches of that photo. There is light wear to the frame's burgundy moire silk (see photos) that covers the inside portion of the wood back. The wear is commensurate with age and use. There are a few small dints to the sterling silver (see photos) that are also commensurate with age and use. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In good antique condition.
