About the Item
This large and highly decorative Impressionist frame is made of wood and dates from around 1880 in France. A piece that can be used in a classic way to frame an oil painting or a modern graphic. But the frame can also be used in other ways. Either you make a mirror out of it, or you hang the frame on the wall as it is, as part of a collage.
The gilding is original and of the period. The colour of the frame looks more like bronze with golden parts. The stucco ornaments show, among other things, fulcrums and acanthus. The frame has a really special and beautiful patina. The measures of the pictures part are: 91 cm x 74 cm.
