A vintage table frame almost certainly made in Italy, although the name engraved on the brass label, positioned on the back, winks at France with the signature "Poul Mer".
Dating between the 70s and 80s, this picture frame recalls the style of the Italian designer and blacksmith Romeo Rega for its geometrically essential design and the use of sparkling and reflective metallic materials.
This vintage frame features all the typical elements of his beautiful handcrafted products, the use of brass
and the geometric decoration made up of quadrangular section canes that come together and separate to compose an elegant design.
The frame comes from Rome and inside it preserves a splendid original vintage photo from the 1940s, taken during a wedding in Italy, with the classic shot of the rear window of the car.
The frame can be used both vertically and horizontally, and given its large dimensions (it can contain a 22.5cm by 28.5cm photo inside) it is perfect for containing portrait photos or any other photo that celebrates an important memory for you.
The frame is in good vintage condition, with slight signs of wear and age
The brass surface has been polished by a professional with a specific product while the mahogany veneer that covers the plywood on the back retains the patina of time.
The item shows slight signs of use contemporary to its age.
