About the Item
This stunning, large silver mirror glass picture frame features a separate mirrored glass base with beveling all around, supporting a mirrored glass sheet with a reverse etched antique galleon sailing boat. The piece was expertly crafted in France circa 1940. The design is adorned with frosted sails, and there is a space for a picture view, also ornate with reverse etching around the photograph view. The photo frame has a clear glass back to enclose the photograph and protect the design. There is no visible maker's mark.

Overall: 16.57 in wide (42 cm) by 5.13 in deep (13 cm) by 12.63 in high (32 cm).
Opening (picture size): 4.75 in wide (12 cm) by 6.68 in high (17 cm).
Base alone: 13.38 in wide (34 cm) by 5.13 in deep (13 cm) by 3.57 in high (9 cm).
Etched front glass panel: 16.57 in wide (42 cm) by 12.19 in high (31 cm).
