About the Item
Set of 2 antique stained oak picture frames in a wonderfully hand crafted shape.
Vienna in the 1910s, these were the typical items to display on the wall to show portraits of your loved ones.
Beautifully crafted, the wood finish is a warm dark brown, oval shaped inner with glass to protect the
then still very valuable photographs.
One of the frames seems to even still have the original backing.
Classic art nouveau, yet some historicism clearly visible.
The back features partially pins and hooks of a newer date – as per imagery.
