Stunning, tall, sterling silver, Art Nouveau Period picture frame, having a wood back, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked or 1911, Lawrence Emanuel - maker. The frame measures 10 inches high (at highest point) x approximately 6 inches inches wide (at widest point - across curved "shoulders" of the frame) x almost 5 1/2 inches across its curved bottom (from outer edge of foot to outer edge of foot) x 5 inches deep when easel is in open position.The frame will hold an oval photo that measures 8 1/4 inches high x 4 1/4 inches wide, and will show 8 inches x 3 3/4 inches of that photo. Deep turquoise blue silk, which has some staining - commensurate with age and use (see photos), lines the wood backing on the inside of the frame. There is a very, very, very tiny, barely noticeable, dint on the right, lower portion edge of the frame (see photos) that is also commensurate with age and use.Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. The frame is an elegant example of the Art Nouveau period. In very good antique condition.
