About the Item

Very large Renaissance revival frame, wood and stucco gilded, second quarter of the 19th century, circa 1835, French « Troubadour » style. Two etiquettes at back indicate that he framed a painting by Jan van Dael from 1810, sold at Christie’s Paris May 2022. Good original condition, except small cracks under the birds motives, along the arc of circle (photos). Easily transformed into a mirror. View dimensions: 143.5 x 112 cm Overall: 192 x 159,5 cm
