About the Item

A pair of 18th century gilded Italian fragments adorned with golden quartz crystals and baroque pearls. The pair are free-standing or can be modified to be hung on a wall upon request. The gilded hand-carved fragments originally from Italy. The pieces are put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and creative director of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she transformed the pieces and the period shows that the Italian fragments are originally 18th century. The Italian fragments are preserved and transformed into figurative, contemporary works of art. With the combination of the organic elements, the artifacts become a sculptural work of historic and organic significance.
