About the Item
Abstract stone sculpture ‘Metropolis 4’ by Vittorio di Muzio (1924 - 2014), Italy 1986. Di Muzio studied sculpture at the l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and was trained by Maestro Marino Marini, he graduated in 1958. This work is sculpted out of sculpted from Granito verde (46.5 kg) and shows a distinct patterned grain. Very strong appearance composed from well balanced stacked cubic shapes. Interesting contrast between the cubic shapes and organic lines that seamlessly connect al cubes together resulting in a dynamic sculpture. Works of Di Muzio were promoted by prestigious International galleries and he participated on several important International exhibitions during his career. Work of Di Muzio is among the collection of several important museums and can be found in public spaces as well. Signed at the lower corner: DM. Professionally cleaned and therefore in excellent original condition.
