About the Item

Christine Fabre (born in 1951) Untitled Architecturally designed vase in textured raku ceramic, bearing an impressed mark H. 73.5 cm Biographical Information Born in 1951 in Marseille, Christine Fabre studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Luminy-Marseille. In Aubagne, she learned pottery throwing in a factory for a year. She then established her own studio in Cassis in 1978, where she created ceramic furniture, including armchairs, chests, and decorative pieces. In 1984, she moved to Pont-de-Barret in the Drôme region, where she developed a sculptural and figurative ceramic style based on rapid firing. In 1990, she settled in Marsanne. In 2001, she created A Ship for Telemachus, an installation composed of forty oars placed against the fountain in the Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris. Since 1980, numerous solo exhibitions have been dedicated to him in France and internationally: Belgium, Netherlands (Galerie Deventer), Switzerland (Galerie Marianne Brand, Geneva; Galerie Le Vieux Bourg, Lonay; Atelier-Galerie J.J. Hofstetter, Fribourg), China (Liuli China Museum, Shanghai, 2015), Taiwan (Liuli Gong Fang Museum, 2016). Envoyer des commentaires Résultats de traduction disponibles
