Black iron sculpture by Lois Teicher, an artist from Detroit, Michigan. The 1992 sculpture is signed, dated, and numbered 4/12. Lois Teicher is well known for her large-scale steel sculptures, and was one of sixteen artists that participated in "The Challenge of the Chair" at the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1991. She received her BFA from the College for Creative Studies and her MFA from Eastern Michigan University. This piece weighs 11 lbs. and measures 11 1/2" tall x 4" wide x 3 1/2" deep.
