About the Item
Modern cast bronze sculpture of a stylized couple surrounded by a heart. 16" tall x 7" wide x 3 3/8" deep. Signed. Black base is missing a piece of veneer. Carole Harrison (10/30/33 - 4/4/22) - Born in Illinois, Carole studied at Cranbrook Academy of Arts in 1955/56, Bloomfield Hills, MI, obtaining her Masters, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study sculpture at Central School of Arts in London. She specialized in sculptures of cast and welded metals and bronze. She has several pieces installed in permanent collections. She founded the sculpture department at Western Michigan University and taught at numerous colleges as a visiting professor.
