About the Item
A stunning contemporary aqua color glass sculpture titled “Confidences” designed by Gilberte Sée for the studio of Daum France. Embossed signature from Daum and Gilberte Sée. Limited edition of 100. Made with intense blue pâte de verre (crystal paste). Produced in 1976. This inspiration for this sculpture is a poem by Paul Verlaine titled “Colloque Sentimental.” The poem tells a story of two ghosts who recall their former love. For one the passion is still real, but for the other their love, like them, is dead. The sculpture is part of the official Maison Daum France Catalog. From a private collection. Dimensions: 15.25”h x 10”w x 5.5”d. In exceptionally good vintage condition.
