About the Item
Group of five mid 20th century modernist abstract carved wood sculptures. Some are signed w/ artist monogram at lower back side ( see picture 8 ) the sculptures measure as follows - on black wood base - 8" h x 5 3/4" w x 4" d / on white marble base 8 3/4" h x 3 1/2" w x 3 1/2" d / dark exotic hardwood possibly macassar ebony - 6 3/4" h x 5 3/4" w x 2 1/2" d / darker brown - 7" h x 4" w x 2" d / lighter brown - 8 3/4" h x 3" w x 1 1/2" d. All with beautifully aged color patina. Artist unknown - cannot decipher signature. Selling as a group of 5. Reminiscent of the style of Barbara Hepworth / Henry Moore, circa 1950's - 1960's.
