About the Item
Large organic wooden sculpture by Danish artist Otto Baagøe Nielsen. Made by hand from a solid piece of birch. Standing on a base made from pine and bakelite. Made ca 1960-70s. Baagøes work span from oil painting to woodcarving and he was and active artist all his life exploring different mediums and styles through a large part of the 20th century. This piece comes directly from the Baagøe estate. Very good vintage condition with few signs of wear. Age related patina with small scratches and wear from age.
