About the Item
Pair of 19th-century decorative limestone columns. They feature sculpted architectural bases, in particular the taller column has a base with decorative elements reminiscent of classical architecture, while the lower column has a square base. The stone has a porous texure and neutral shades ranging from ivory white to beige. These decorative elements were probably part of architectural installations or were used to divide mullioned windows.
