About the Item
A sculptural silver-plated metal "Jug" and matching plate designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini for Argenteria Merano. Produced for Design Gallery Milan in 1989. Maker's mark on underside. A dynamic, architectural silhouette that merges fluid curvature and angular precision - hallmarks of Iosa Ghini's distinctive style. The jug's aerodynamic form evokes motion and futurism. Both functional and sculptural, this object embodies the innovative craftsmanship and conceptual sophistication that defined Milan's avant-garde design scene of the era. This object exemplifies late-1980s Italian postmodern design.
Provenance: From a substantial Memphis Milano collection in Franklin, Michigan; acquired circa 1990s. Dimensions: 11"h x 13"w x 13"d (with plate). In very good vintage condition. Full condition reports available upon request.
