About the Item
Designed and studio-made by American craftsman James Bearden, this chime sculpture is among the largest made, and the largest on sale today. An early model, made with a simpler approach. Square steel base adorned with steel fixtures, some featuring torch cut square steel pipe, others with heavier steel plate and billet. These make for a dramatic look but also produce a deep and pleasant sound when it experiences movement. Visual appeal is amplified by the contrast of the enameled and patterned green steel with the brazed bronze sections.
This piece was gifted to me by the artist in 2016. Very limited production. I have the COA along with a number of other Bearden pieces.
In very good original condition. I never used it, and it never sat outside in the elements.
