About the Item
This remarkable piece is an oversize decorative Les Paul style guitar that stands over six feet tall. It makes us think of Claes Oldenberg's playful sculptures and looks like it could be a display for a music store. It was created by Frank Napoli in 2008. Napoli, a retired machinist, fabricated many of the parts from scratch– including the pick-ups, the bridge, and the tuning machine buttons. He signed it on the back with a small placard.
The presence this piece has can not be understated. Just one look puts a smile on everyone's face and strains of their favorite rock song in their heads.
