About the Item

Spirale is a sculpture, part of the "Pocket-Landscape" collection designed by Aldo Cibic: a slide, a twisted drainpipe, a downhill path contaminated by nature. “I have always been attracted to nature that displays its strength in unexpected settings. For example, when roadside tarmac cracks and rises up to let blades of grass grow through, or when there are weeds along the edges of the paving stones in an abandoned concrete plaza. I’m always amazed when paving runs up against a vertical wall and plants actually manage to force their way through the juncture so that clumps of green foliage appear - striving to live at all costs. On another level, I see situations where people, in an attempt to redeem the surrounding poverty and decline, have placed potted plants and flowers along their window sills. This attentive display of care aims to build a connection between the environment and create a pleasurable living environment.”
