Mid-Century Modernist Bronze and Teak Sculpture by Russell Secrest, American, circa 1970s. Russell Secrest (1935-2010) is known for both his sculptures and modernist jewelry designs. Born in Muncie, Indiana, Secrest earned an Associates in Applied Science degree from the School for American Craftsmen at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. It is clear that he appreciated precision, as the sculpture balances perfectly on it's base and moves freely with the slightest touch.
