About the Item

This surrealist bronze is a figure of a male and female intertwined and stands at 24" tall. The bronze has a beautiful brown and green patina. The sculpture is made in two pieces, as shown. Signed and numbered 6/9 on the bottom and dated 83. Aharon Bezalel was born in Herat Afghanistan and moved to Jerusalem in the 1930's. He started studying art and sculpture in the 40's at the New Bezalel in Jerusalem. Bezalel started in bronze casting during the 60's.
