About the Item
A striking geometric piece by Dutch artist Woody van Amen, blending rhythm, structure, and visual energy. Taxat is composed of sharply angled, grid-like lines arranged in a spatial composition — both sculptural and architectural. The hand-painted camouflage-style surface in red and green adds tension and vibrancy to the form.
This work dates to around mid nineties, a period in which Van Amen explored geometry and structure in bold, spatial ways.
About the artist:
Woody van Amen (b. 1936) is a pioneering Dutch visual artist whose career spans over six decades. His work blends pop art, Eastern symbolism, and conceptual structures. He has exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, and internationally in Asia and the US.
