About the Item
Staffordshire spaniels are dog figurines inspired by Queen Victoria's King Charles Spaniel,
"Darling Dashy" Dash. The figurines became popular in the 1840s during Queen Victoria's reign and remained so throughout.
The earliest Staffordshire pottery models were inspired by Chinese porcelain figures and were often produced in pairs.
