About the Item
Decorate a shelf or a man's office desk with this stately antique marble parrot sculpture. Created in France circa 1880, and carved of white marble, the figure stands on an integral rectangular base, and depicts a proud bird perched on branch with its head turned. The avian sculpture dressed with green glass eyes, features wonderful detailed carvings especially through the plumage and talons. The large sculpture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a beautiful patinated marble finish.
