About the Item
A cute wooden sculpture of a rabbit, Black Forest art.
It is an inkwell, but above all it is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship from the end of the 19th century.
The rabbit is beautifully sculpted, with a beautiful anatomy and very finely detailed. The rabbit has original glass eyes, there is a hinge in the neck, so the head can be lifted up, in which a glass inkwell was probably located.
Pens can be placed on the front.
Despite the lack of the glass insert, this object is in very good condition. Lovers of Black Forest woodcarving know that you do not often come across rabbits, it is not an obvious subject. That makes it all the cuter and more special.
