About the Item

This cast Continental silver sculpture is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Europe, likely Austria or Italy, and dating to approximately 1920 and done in the period Art Deco style. This well executed study depicts a standing and saddled elk or reindeer and shows considerable details in the fur, face, saddle and hooves. This sculpture is not marked for its silver content but has been tested and was found to be .800 or Continental silver.
