About the Item

A beautiful antique solid bronze statue of a goat and ram mounted on a rectangular marble base. This animal sculpture is in the style of the 19th-century French sculptor Pierre-Jules Mêne, known for his bronze animal sculptures. Unsigned, circa the first half of the 20th century. The statue depicts a hunched or charging ram with prominent, curved horns. The statue symbolizes resilience, determination, and strength. It stands on a rectangular marble base with a striking veined pattern. The whole piece has a beautiful patina of age. This antique statue is in very good condition. The statue itself shows no defects. The marble base shows some signs of age, including a few minor chips on the corners. The marble also has a few spots and has become somewhat dull at the top over time. Please see the photos for more details! Dimensions: 25x10x14cm. Weight: 3,005kg.
