About the Item
Limited-edition porcelain bird grouping by Boehm Porcelain, depicting ptarmigan in winter plumage perched on snow-covered branches. Finely modeled with detailed feather texture and subtle hand-painted accents. The grouping depicts ptarmigan in winter plumage.
Ptarmigan are alpine game birds known for turning completely white in winter, and they were a favorite subject of Edward Marshall Boehm. The rounded bodies, feathered feet, and snowy branch base are all characteristic of Boehm’s ptarmigan models.
