About the Item
Gilt bronze sculpture representing a stylized bird, signed Felix Agostini.
Félix Agostini (1910- 1980 ) is particularly known for his production of sculptures and lighting fixtures. His creations are distinguished by their modernism and surrealism.
From a very young age, Félix Agostini was passionate about drawing: he had a natural talent for creation. He honed his skills as a self-taught artist. The designer received the opportunity to work at the printing company Draeger. From there, Félix Agostini began his career as an advertising illustrator and worked for major brands such as Peugeot, Chanel, and Thomson.
He then created his own workshop in the 14th arrondissement of Paris and began to produce most of his works: It was there that his first models in wrought iron, ceramic, then bronze were born.
During his career, Félix Agostini worked in collaboration with Alberto and Diego Giacometti.
