Bronze of Bengal Tiger

This is a stunning emotive abstracted sculpture of a kneeling antelope that is crafted in bronze and signed by the artist , Barbara Beretich (1936 - 2018), on the bottom. The sculpture is beautifully cast with fine detail and patina. During Beretich's younger years in California, her family raised multiple animals including hogs, cows, sheep and horses. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a BA in art, Beretich spent time in Europe where she met and became lifelong friends with the French artist, Francoise Gilot.
