Very decorative and she would make a lovely gift too.
Ox-pecker birds have a symbiotic relationship with large African herbivores. They feed on parasites and ticks on their hosts' bodies and can alert them to danger too with their shrill, cackling calls. In return the birds are well fed and also protected from their own predators. This is why our buffalo is looking so happy!
