Authenticated and dated by Ralf Kotalla Laboratories in Germany Report # 05PX240220 included with acquisition. Ca. 618 - 907 AD Tang Dynasty Terracotta Horse figure with saddle and turned head. An elegant hollow molded pottery horse modeled in a standing pose with a gracefully arched neck and turned head with pricked ears and mouth agape. The musculature is rendered in great detail with traces of original polychrome paint throughout. Height: 15.7 Width: 18 Depth: 6.25 Condition is excellent with no detected repairs. Provenance; Property of a professional London Art Expert; obtained from an old British collection formed in the 1980s.
