About the Item

A very decorative black vintage sheep, designed by Hanns Peter Krafft and manufactured by Krafftmeier, Germany. Probably made in the 1970s/80s. This handmade sheep was designed in the 1960s. It is made of carved pinewood with a black sheep's wool covering, leather ears, and plastic eyes. The sheep's hooves have a beautiful, elongated shape. These sheep were often used as advertising items for textile shops, but also as decorative objects in interiors or even as stools. Condition: The sheep is in good original condition with a beautiful patina. It shows slight signs of wear and abrasion in the wood. The left front and right rear hoof each has a crack. The leather ears have a patinated finish. The sheep's fur has thinned in places. The fur is somewhat dull overall. Otherwise, it is in beautiful, clean condition. It adds a lot of character to any room and is a real eye-catcher. A great focal point for any modern home, office, or interior. Dimensions: Height 24.4" / 62cm , Depth 25.2" / 64cm , Width 10" / 25,5cm , Weight 14.3lbs / 6,5kg .
