About the Item

An exquisite continental foal baby horse from the early 20th century mounted on iron base. This joyful foal is caught in mid leap as it’s possibly just learning how to gallop. See how its legs are shorter and more stout than a full grown horse and its hooves are proportionally larger. This horse from Europe, circa 1920 has some white tones with tinges of red and brown and sits on a metal stand. It may have been an entertainment piece such as a riding horse or part of a carousel. This whimsical foal would be an wonderful conversation piece in any home, possibly in a study, a living room or an entranceway.
