About the Item

This antique dog sculpture composition was created in France, circa 1920. Standing on a black marble base, the composition features a pair of proud Labradors, both resting; one on his back legs, the other lying down. The large piece is in excellent condition with wonderful details and a rich verdigris patinated bronze finish. The artist conveys action and energy through the shape, movement and texture of the canine figures, in the manner of Jules Moiniez. This elegant canine sculpture would make an interesting addition to a shelf in a library or a desk in a study; a perfect gift for any dog lover. Weight 68 pounds. Measures: 29"W x 10"D x 17"H.
