About the Item
The sculpture, depicting a cat, is made of white-painted and glazed ceramic, except for the animal's collar with the bell (light brown) and the pillow, which is the base on which the cat rests (dark brown).
The work is attributed to Wanda Berasi (Trento 1926 - Faenza 2022), aka Muky, a visual artist and poet specializing in ceramics, as well as a companion of Domenico Matteucci, director of the Faenza ceramics school.
The subject is interesting in that the cat is depicted with its eyes closed, as if it were in a moment of reflection.
