About the Item

A nice early 20th century casting of Paul-Édouard Delabrierre's Tiger Carrying a Gazelle, the present model features a nice overall chiseled surface with the stripes of the tiger brought out along the body, all surfaces being finished in a dark overall patina. It is situated over a burnished bronze rectangular base with angled corners and a conforming variated green marble base. The model is signed along the back edge of the naturalistic base "E. DELABRIERRE". Measurements: 13 3/8" W x 5 1/4" D x 7 5/8" H [total]; 12" W x 4 1/8" D x 6 5/8" H [without marble base]

    Light patina handling wear in a few spots including the tip of tiger s nose, faintly along ribs, trace rubbing along ridge of back. Old abrasions to the top of the back hip (just before the tail). A fine presentation.
