A French lifesize painted lead crowing rooster sculpture from the first half of the 20th century. Famous for being the French national emblem, our rooster is standing proudly on a base adorned with a bundle of wheat. We seem to have caught the rooster in an important moment as he crows, perhaps proclaiming the coming of the new day. The sculpture is made of lead and painted in a white color that highlights the great attention shown to details. With its great proportions, and skillfully executed detailing, this French lead rooster sculpture circa 1920 will be a great decorative accent, perhaps placed in a garden or patio.
