A very well sculptured large terracotta seated hound. Most likely of an alsation
This seated hound has very good detailing including the collar.His ears are pointed and he has a very alert face , as if focusing in on something.
The face is very well detailed especially the eyes which have great expression
Late 19th early 20th century. the piece is signed F Foucher
with a foundary mark. The size is 46 cm x 24 cm depth is measured across front of body
In overall very good condition with only minor signs of age, 1 very tiny chip to tip of ear,barely noticeable
