A striking Murano glass sculpture by master Giuman, depicting a rearing horse rendered in a brilliant golden–topaz (“citrine”) accents.
The warm yellow tones—applied to the mane, tail, hooves, and anatomical highlights—are vibrant and fully translucent, recalling the luminous “topazio chiaro” tradition of Venetian glass rather than the darker hues typical of amber. This chromatic clarity enhances the sculpture’s radiance and gives the figure a vivid, almost weightless presence.
Entirely mouth-blown and hand-modeled, the piece captures the tension and elegance of the horse in motion: the arched neck, extended forelegs, and finely articulated details testify to Giuman’s exceptional control of form and temperature in the furnace.
Signed and executed with remarkable precision, this work stands as a refined example of contemporary Murano craftsmanship—dynamic, expressive, and sculpturally commanding.

We had the rare privilege and honor of acquiring a large part of the historic archive of the great master Giorgio Giuman. Today, we are delighted to share with you a selection of his unique and extraordinary works — pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind, each bearing the unmistakable and surprising identity of his artistic vision. These are not just objects; they are collectible masterpieces that embody a legacy of Venetian glassmaking at its highest expression.
The glass is beautiful and in excellent condition, of course no chips or cracks.

We are specialized in vintage lighting and Murano glass sculptures made in Italy and we have hundreds of items made by the greatest Italian manufacturers from the 60s onwards: Leucos, Effetre, Mazzega, Vistosi, Stilnovo, Arredoluce, Arteluce, Fontana Arte or other smaller, less known but very high quality factories.
