Gorgeous hand carved Canadian geese sculpture in green jade by Lyle Sopel, circa 1990s. Impressive detail and a stunning high gloss finish with deep veining. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and measures: 11"W x 8.5"D x 9"H. The piece is signed and numbered on the base. #3732 Lyle Sopel is considered to be one of the preeminent living jade and gem nature inspired sculptor's in the world, An innovator of the contemporary gem design genre, Sopel continues a fine art career that spans over three decades. Sopel has received numerous awards as a sculptor, author and speaker. Garnered by National Geographic Magazine as“ One of the most accomplished contemporary jade sculptor’s in the world”, Sopel’s work is collected by members of royalty, heads of state, art connoisseurs and VIP collectors from all over the world. Sopel believes that man and animal share the same innate spirit and surrounding ourselves with beauty, art and nature is essential to our well being.
