These small leather animals are folded from a thicker piece of brown leather and riveted . Stamped Deru.
Origami technique.
The manufactorer Deru in Wiesbaden produced these handmade charming leather animals in the 1960s.
Unfortunately, nothing is known about this company and its designers.
These small iconic animals now have a high collector´s value. Comparable with the animals from Omersa.
This model of a boxer looks a little bit grumpy but also charming. It is in very good original condition with slight signs of wear commensurate with its age.
Two more "Deru" boxer are offered separately.
Because each leather animal is handmade, it is always unique with a different expression and a different shape and size.
