About the Item
Sweet pottery owl by Ivo De Santis, Gli Etruschi. Circa 1960. De Santis's designs often incorporate a stylized and minimal use of line in his animal sculptures with large splashes of bright color juxtaposed with a more subdued palette. This wide eyed wise owl stands approximately 5.25" high. Glazed high gloss green back and wing feathers and brown wash on its chest feathers with large convex orange eyes.
Good overall condition with no visible cracks, hairlines crazing or restorations.
The bird measures approximately 3" deep x 3.5" wide.
