Small Hand Carved Wood Japanese Koi Fish Sculpture.
Antique hand carved wooden Asian Koi fish "goldfish" with glass eyes.
This koi carp appears almost fluid as if it could swim at any time with great carving details on their scales.
The Japanese consider these fishes not only for their beauty but also for their ability to transform the perception of the observer.
In addition, the carp "koi" is the symbol of love and virility, which is why it occupies an important place in Japanese society.
All in nice condition for age, one small crack on the top head see last picture.
