About the Item

A mid-century modern papier mache sculpture depicting an endearing and delightful tiger by French artist and designer Jeanne Valentine S.A. Made circa 1960s at the artist's studio located in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Original tag on bottom. Sculpture comes in 2-pieces as the tail and main body disconnects. A whimsical yet modernistic composition with a long eye lashes and a curly tail. Valentine's delicately crafted, sophisticated papier-mache creations were found in the most elegant shops of New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Paris, and London. From a private collection. Measures 35 inches tall, 31 inches wide, and 31 inches deep. In very good vintage condition.
