About the Item
Monumental vintage Italian terracotta majolica white glazed eagle perched on a rock. Impressive life-size in scale with detailed realism features, including tolans grasping a fish. These were popular in the mid-20th century in Hollywood Regency or grand decor homes. The previous owner, added concrete to the base, to add weight to prevent from easily being knocked over. The made in Italy signature, is covered by concrete.
