Handcrafted raku ceramic sculpture in the form of a tropical fish, European studio work from the late 20th century. Strong decorative presence with vivid glazing and characteristic crackle texture.
Large and eye-catching ceramic fish sculpture, hand-built in a European studio between the 1980s and early 2000s. The piece has been raku-fired, which created the distinctive crackled surface throughout the glaze. The decoration features bold stripes in yellow and blue with additional contrasting green and black sections.
The sculpted fins give the piece volume and definition, and the combination of matte and glossy surfaces highlights its artisanal production. A unique example of modern studio ceramics with clear craftsmanship and strong visual impact.
