Spectacular glazed Ceramic Sunfish by Professore Eugenio Pattarino for Marbro. The iridescent Polychrome glazed fish figure by itself is 23" tall. Marked, "Eugenio Pattarino-Italy". Prof. Eugenio Pattarino was one of the most famous 20th century ceramicists. He was well known for his religious art and his work was commissioned by the Vatican as gifts for visiting dignitaries, including John F. Kennedy and Andre Gide. Jean-Paul Sartre and Edith Piaf were avid collectors of his work.
