Luigi Mellara Italian Murano Hand-blown Art Glass Fish Sculpture. Sculpture is a solid art glass fish form with a rounded body and elegant tail fin. Bold diagonal bands of red, blue, green sweep across the body, creating depth, movement, and luminous color variation when viewed from different angles. The substantial weight (weighs approximately 4 pounds) and smooth, polished finish indicate high-quality craftsmanship. Light reflections and internal color layering are hallmarks of authentic Murano-style techniques, where molten glass is shaped and colored entirely by hand. Fish sculptures, in particular reference Venice's deep connection to the sea and were popular as symbols of prosperity, movement, and harmony. Made in Murano Italy sticker on bottom, along with etched artist signature.
